YANTRIK NIVAS

Yantrik Niwas was built on February 14, 1989 to provide not only accommodation to all officer trainees of various departments of Indian railways, but also to serve as a base for the officer trainees(OT) of the prestigious Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers(IRSME) where they hone their skills and imbibe qualities of officers into their lives during their probationary training. Apart from this, it also has suites for faculties and various dignitaries visiting Jamalpur.

Yantrik Niwas is U-shaped consisting of three separate 2-storey blocks with a huge green lawn in front. The blocks are the Main block which has 20 rooms and suite 1, officer’s dining hall with attached kitchen, warden’s office and other recreation rooms; the North block which has rooms 21 to 26 and suites 2 to 5; and the South block which has rooms 27 to 34. It’s vicinity to IRIMEE and secure premises makes it the best of its kind and most favoured accommodation for officer trainees.
